I too think this is a muffler hovering near the bible.

But what I really wanted to comment on about this area of the piece is the yellow drop shadow on the word "BLESSED". The effect is well done on the B and L, but I think the yellow blends in a bit generously with the background for the remainder of the word.

Old-time watchers of the one-and-only original channel 62 may remember Nu-Mrk Pest Control for what just may have been the greatest single TV ad in Detroit history. The one that began with that unforgettable line "Girl, I was over to her house and the roaches was everywhere!"

Let me be the first to say that I really like your blog. I'm also working on one myself. The link is posted on the reply.

Since I work during the weekend, most of my riding consist of going to and from work, but when I need to get somewhere, my bike has been very reliable.

I hope to post more pics in my blog now that I have good batteries in my camera.

Feel feel to e-mail me, or leave a comment on my blog.

Arthur,

Jeff at CE directed me to your blog. This is a great site. I have been riding through Detroit for the past four years. The Woverine Sports Club does a 60 mile loop through Detroit the third Saturday of the month. I am hooked .

Here is a quote from Talking Head David Byrne describing a ride through Detroit; "I found myself riding through vast vacant lots, covered with grasses and some filled with rubbish. Once in a while there was evidence of some habitation , but mostly it was a post apocalyptic landscape at its finest. One of the most memorable rides I've taken." I only share this quote with true believers. It really captures one of the reasons why cycling in Detroit is so interesting.

I have a couple of questions to ask. Please emai me. Thanks.
